I really would like to have the “Tape meters” in Mixbus that makes it easier to find an instrument. The key difference between Mixbus and Mixbus 32C is that with Mixbus you get a three-band sweepable EQ with a high-pass filter for each channel. My DDA AMR24 cost 120.000$ 1990 and I was dreaming about, to get such a sound out of it.Īs we worked those days with a 24 Channel Otari Recorder, we always had the meters on the machine to see “What is on the Tape”. In addition, each bus send can be 'panned' separately from the master bus pan location. Mixbus32C provides 12 stereo mix-buses, with send-level knobs on every channel strip. We expect this to meet the needs of users who are mixing 8-24 channels. All of this has remained the same in Mixbus32C v8. This makes for a very structured and straightforward workflow, especially during mixdown.
Nuendo 6 is 1.700$ (2014) and doesn’t run under Win10 anymore (!). Mixbus provides 8 stereo mix-buses, with send-levels on every channel strip. Audio and MIDI channels come together in the DAW’s namesake mix busses, which also feature EQ, dynamics and saturation, all without loading a single plug-in. I wish to have the Mixbus Standard with the EQ’s of the 32C version and I’m ready to pay a 300$ for it. Replace that for bigger selection button (we have enough trimming options for signals), this little tiny green Leds are hard to see and makes work uncomfortable.
The Mixbus selection Trimming knobs in 32C version are 99% obsolete.

I don’t need 12 Mixbus Chanel, 8 are enough. Mixbus is a customised Mac OS X version of the opensource program Ardour (which, unlike Mixbus, is also available for the Linux platform). But that’s all in comparison to Mixbus standard. The silver in the treble is great, EQ’s more powerful in 32C.
